People will always want to join the top clans for CW and in order to have even a chance then stat padding and any mod that gives better chance to improve is what they will use (generally speaking of course) and some people would actually cheat and use illegal mods.
Looking back (i stopped playing WOT about a year ago and love War Thunder which is amazing imo) XVM ruined WOT. I started WOT back in 2011 - I read up on forums as to tactics, tips etc and came across the black and white hitzone skin mod which was a quick and easy way to learn the weakspots of tanks, from their over the years i ended up with the map mod that actually gives scouts an unfair advantage in that they know exactly where to be to remain unseen while spotting, XVM which gives an indication of the enemy players overall stats and stats in that particular tank so you can decide your own play style and swing the percentages in your own favour, and the reticule and OTM (only the icons as XVM gives everything else). What's your opinion on the matter? Do we need XVM in WoWs? you know what I mean, all the flame about bad winchances at the beginning of the game, the insults over bad statistics, the tomato-noob-bashing. Even though I've been using XVM myself for the past years, I wouldn't deny that the mod propably wasn't the best thing happening to the game and the community.
Now I think it's safe to say that XVM is at least. But since Wargaming officially supported XVM in the past and is not considering it to be 'not good' I think there is a good chance we'll see it in WoWs, too. Now Rita is certainly not a 100% trustable source, I know. Even though mod support will be almost disabled after 0.3.1, according to Ritas blog there will be XVM support for World of Warships ( Source). I assume almost everyone here played World of Tanks, so everyone should be familiar with the popular XVM modification ( link to homepage). So I started a similar discussion over in the german section and now I'm posting it here too, to see if we get similar results and to gather even more feedback.
